▶ Pokemon: Phantom
When Jack and Maddie Fenton, world famous researchers on Ghost Pokemon mysteriously vanish, the world was lead to believe that their son, Daniel Fenton, vanished along with them. However, the truth couldn’t be more different. Critically injured in the mysterious event that lead to their disappearance, Danny barely clung to life, and in order to survive and find his parents, he agreed to make a Pact with his mother’s Froslass, who was fading away from the same ‘accident’. This process, while saving his life, left the boy inescapably changed, transforming into a Human/Ghost Pokemon hybrid, although overall retaining his human shape. Gaining many fantastic powers from this change, Danny decided that he would seek out his missing parents and bring whoever kidnapped them and nearly killed him to justice. Taking on the alias of ‘Phantom’, he finds a clue when the local ghost Pokemon tell him that the mysterious and elusive Champion, Vlad Masters, knows something about his parents. But the only time anyone has ever seen Vlad was when they challenged him, meaning that Phantom would have to take on the gym leaders and the Elite Four of the Amity Region before he could do that.
Meanwhile, Danny’s best friends, Sam Manson and Tucker Foley, return at long last from their own Pokemon journeys, only to find that their best friend and his parents have vanished into thin air. Following a lead from Jazz Fenton, a Pokemon psychologist and Danny’s older sister, they start to seek him out, quickly crossing paths with Phantom. Not wanting to let his friends know who he is for fear of them rejecting him, Phantom nevertheless finds himself traveling along with them, as Sam tries to whip the incapable trainer into fighting shape. Meanwhile, the mysterious Team Plasmius is causing trouble elsewhere in the region, snatching up scientists, Pokemon, and artifacts alike, and knowing that they have something to do with his parents, Phantom and his friends come into direct confrontation with them. It seems that there are other people out there who want what Phantom has- and will stop at nothing to gain it.
Title: Pokemon Trainer
Pokemon: Froslass (Aria), Snover (Tucker), Banette (Sam), Weavile (Jazz), Gengar (Wynn), Rotom (Glenn)
Since he was a little boy, Danny was always a sickly child, and was unable to spend much time outside, often cooped up in his house. He made two friends in the form of Sam and Tucker, and in between them and his family who loved him very much, he never found himself wanting for much. However, everything changed when he was fourteen, and a mysterious accident of which he has very little recollection of occurred in his parents basement, causing his parents to vanish and himself to become fused with a Froslass. Becoming part Ghost/Ice Pokemon, Phantom can more or less function as one himself, and is able to learn moves both naturally and from TMs, although mysteriously he knows Hyper Voice, which is not a Froslass move. He has many traits of a ghost, able to levitate and fly, phase through things and turn invisible at will, and above all else, his health problems have vanished. Determined to find his parents, he follows any possible rumor that will lead to their recovery, and can communicate with both ice and ghost Pokemon as well. Although he has his own team of Pokemon, he often finds himself itching to fight instead of them, and views them all as his close friends and family, especially Aria, who views him as her surrogate son and as a baby Froslass. Phantom is a rather incompetent trainer, in spite of being powerful himself, much to the frustration of Sam, who agreed to help him shape up so that he can face the gyms- since they don’t let him enter himself into challenges. Because all Froslass are female, he has a rather androgynous appearance, and though he’s one hundred percent male, many people can’t tell without having talked to him. He doesn’t mind being called ‘pretty’, but if you call him a girl he will probably break your arm off.
Samantha “Sam” Manson
Pokemon: Bisharp (Lilith), Tyranitar (Lora), Liepard (Judith), Venusaur (Auburn), Hydreigon (Eris), Salamence (Crusher)
Danny’s best friend from childhood, Sam is a sixteen year old girl who was always a bit different from the rest of the kids in Casper Town. She was always fascinated by the research that the Fentons did, and thus met Danny through this and became fast friends with him. Even after she left on her Pokemon journey, she kept in touch, sending her friend souvenirs from all of the places that she went to all of which reflected her unique tastes. Over time, she has formed very close bonds with her Pokemon, and eventually, decided to leave the Amity region to explore other lands, eventually becoming the Champion of another, distant region. She passed on remaining there and taking over for the former Champion, and instead came back to Casper Town, hoping to tell Danny in great detail about her travels, and let him pick a Pokemon of his own from the many she had caught on her journey. However, when she returned, she learned that Danny and his parents had vanished, and nobody knew what had happened to them, not even his older sister, Jazz. Contacting Tucker, she’s determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, but her plans become somewhat hindered when she runs into Phantom and ends up being more or less shanghaied into teaching him to be a better trainer. She finds the Pokemon/Human hybrid to be both infuriating at times and rather mysterious, his origins kept a mystery from her. She doesn’t recognize her friend in Phantom, although sometimes he does seem to be rather familiar to her, and she doesn’t know why.
Title: Pokemon Scientist/Breeder
Pokemon: Galvantula (Justine), Jolteon (Ricky), Ampharos (Cindy), Skarmory (Jake), Magneton (Peter), Metagross (Ian)
Danny’s other best friend since childhood, Tucker was his next door neighbor who ended up coming over to play with him every day since they were kids. A sometimes overconfident and rather flirtatious sixteen year old boy, he nonetheless has a good head on his shoulders and is rather intelligent when he isn’t simply fooling around. He has a heart of gold, but it’s buried underneath his inability to accept responsibility for his own actions when things go south and his often rather clueless nature. When the chips are down, however, Tucker is ready and willing to do anything he needs to do to save the day, even if that means braving things he doesn’t like- like the hospital. Tucker started out with the hopes of beating the Champion, just like any other trainer, but eventually got distracted as he discovered Pokemon like Klink and Voltorb, and instead decided that he was going to spend his time studying artificial Pokemon, or Pokemon whose origins are clouded in mystery. He spends much of his time watching these Pokemon in their ‘natural’ habitats and has complied an extensive amount of notes on them and hopes to publish his findings one of these days. Tucker returns to Casper Town, however, when he gets a call from Sam, telling him that Danny has vanished, and that he has to come help her look for them. As a trainer, Tucker is fairly mediocre, and there’s nothing about him that stands out from the vast sea of other trainers. He likes Phantom quite a bit, and doesn’t find the half ghost irritating like Sam does, even if he does confuse his boner sometimes (not that he’ll ever admit that).
Jasmine “Jazz” Fenton
Title: Pokemon Psychologist
Pokemon: Teddiursa (Bearbert), Reuniclus (Simone), Musharna (Elizabeth)
Jazz Fenton is renowned in spite of her young age as a remarkably intelligent Pokemon psychologist, deeply involved in the studying of the Pokemon mind, and what makes them tick. As the daughter of Jack and Maddie, she was brought up around science and research, but she decided against becoming a ghost Pokemon researcher, never having the same fascination for them that her parents did. The twenty two year old woman spends most of her time in her lab in Dragsholm City, and hasn’t returned home to Casper Town for awhile. Thus, news that her parents and little brother have vanished shocks her to no end, and she wonders if she could have done something were she there. Although she is currently deeply engrossed in her research, she does what she can to find her missing family, and worries the most for her brother, due to his poor health. Jazz is the only one to quickly associate Phantom with her missing brother, but she keeps this fact to herself, feeling that Danny doesn’t want to talk to people about it yet. She does what she can to help him out, and feels that he should open up and talk to people, at least to Sam and Tucker, about what happened to him, and worries that he intends to drift away from them should he accomplish his goal. Jazz has only three Pokemon, and isn’t much of a battler, but she’s rather tricky still, so it’s not wise to underestimate her.
Pokemon: Ponyta (Shiny), Lampent
An aspiring musician, Ember is a nineteen year old girl who is deeply invested in punk rock and someday wants to become world famous. She is also the grudging leader of the Borley City Pokemon Gym, having to fill in for her mother, who has gone missing- which is not abnormal behavior for her parents. A fire type user, her claim to fame is owning a shiny Ponyta, which she went through hell and high water to obtain, due to desiring it’s flaming blue mane. She has sworn to never let it evolve, and has obtained an Everstone for the purpose. She’s actually a fairly strong Gym Leader, which surprises many since she never seems to want to do it. Ember always puts her all into everything that she does, however, and has vowed never to go into anything half hearted, even it’s something she doesn’t want to do or has no interest in. She might as well put forth her best effort and try to have fun while doing it, or there’s no point in even trying, she thinks and complaining about it will get her nowhere. She quickly finds herself at odds with Sam, as their personalities clash right off the bat, and her fire type gym provides a strong challenge for Phantom right off the bat. She is not a member of Team Plasmius, although they attempted to recruit her- she turned them down, however, not having any interest in that sort of thing.
Hunter “Skulker” Savage
Pokemon: Klink, Steelix, Beldum
The leader of the Pokemon Gym in Lalor Town, what time he’s not spending doing that, Hunter devotes to his secret hobby- the hunting and collecting of pelts of rare Pokemon. As this is exteremly illegal, he keeps his hunts and his collection to himself, hidden away where no one else can find it. He’s rather ruthless when it comes to the hunt, although when it comes to people, he’s actually a rather polite conversationalist, although it seems that he’s lacking a certain amount of common sense. Hunter becomes fascinated with Phantom when he crosses his paths, and has never desired a piece for his collection more than the half ghost boy, and will do anything to obtain him. Hunter desires to keep Phantom alive, wanting him to live out the rest of his life in a specially constructed cage where he will simply observe the wonder of nature that he is. Eventually, this leads him to joining Team Plasmius after Phantom not only manages to escape from him, but also exposes his hobby to the people of Lalor Town, not only causing him to lose his job as a Gym Leader, but also to find himself on the wrong side of the law. He eventually comes to serve as one of Plasmius’ right hand men, alongside Franklin. He has never lost his desire to obtain Phantom, and has in fact, been promised that he shall have him once Plasmius is done with him.
Frederich “Freakshow” Isak Showenhower
Pokemon: Jynx, Mr. Mime, Hypno, Kadabra
The Gym Leader of Whepstead Town, Frederich, known by most as Freakshow, runs his gym out of his circus, which is known for it’s very dark and gothic themes. Sam is very much a huge fan of Circus Gothica, and has always wanted to go and watch the show there, having missed the chance to the last time she went on her Pokemon journey. She doesn’t intend to miss it this time. Freakshow is known for being very theatrical and dramatic, true to his nature as a circus ringmaster, and carries this over to his gym leader persona. As a Psychic type user, there are many that seem to think he’s a bit creepy or off, but he laughs off such concerns. His Pokemon also perform in his circus, and are some of the most anticipated acts. Freakshow becomes ensnared with Phantom as well when he encounters the strange boy, and feels that he would be perfect for his circus. But when he turns down his offer to join, Freakshow decides that he’ll be taking some drastic measures to ensure that Phantom becomes his- namely, the use of an old family treasure, that is said to be able to manipulate ghost type Pokemon. It seems to work just as well on the half ghost boy as it does with what it was intended for, and Freakshow never intends to give Phantom up now that he’s claimed him- but both Sam and Phantom have something to say about this. Freakshow, like Skulker, later joins Team Plasmius, although he has no intention of staying under the man’s thumb forever.
Pokemon: Liepard, Umberon, Sableye, Mandibuzz
Johnny, like Ember, was more or less forced into becoming a Gym Leader, taking over the Dragsholm City gym, after his parents decide they’re going to go off on a world tour together. A bit of a rebel who is viewed as being bad news and as having very bad luck- people around him always seem to be getting hurt. He’s only really close to his girlfriend, Kitty, although sometimes his eyes can stray away from her, namely towards the beautiful and intelligent Jazz, who doesn’t seem to believe in his bad luck. At the end of the day, however, Johnny will always be devoted to Kitty, and would never truly betray her. As a Dark type trainer, he is proud of his Pokemon, even if he doesn’t really care for battling. They are his companions, and they don’t seem to mind his bad luck, willing to stick with him through thick and thin, and he wouldn’t trade that for anything. He values his Liepard most of all, which was a present from Kitty upon becoming a Gym Leader, and doesn’t like it when people hurt it. Johnny spends most of his free time tinkering with his motorcycle, constantly in a state of being fixed up and improved on. He’s not a member of Team Plasmius, and would rather not having anything to do with those punks, fearing that his reputation will get even worse if he starts getting involved with them. He doesn’t care much for Phantom and his friends either, not understanding why Phantom doesn’t seem to like it when he makes moves on Jazz- it’s not like she’s his sister or anything like that.
Martin “Frostbite” Frost
Pokemon: Mamoswine, Dewgong, Lapras, Glalie, Walrein
A very amicable Gym Leader, Martin, called Frostbite by those who know him due to how much time he spends out in the cold, is the Gym Leader for Brissac City, one of the coldest places within the Amity region. Martin moved there because of this, it seems, having a life long love of Ice Pokemon, which eventually lead him to become the new Gym Leader after the old one stepped down. He seems to be impervious to cold, often going outside wearing very little at all, and embraces Mother Nature’s snowstorm fury for all it’s worth. He often helps travelers lost in snowstorms, and is always the first one out there searching when someone gets lost in the snow. Martin is well aware of the dangers of winter, and seeks to ensure that they don’t claim anyone on his watch. He becomes fast friends with Phantom, who he feels shares a similar nature as him, and regards the relationship that he has with his ice Pokemon, namely Aria, very well. He doesn’t find the boy all that strange, claiming that in his many long years, he has seen others like Phantom, who have bonded with Ghost Pokemon. He later becomes a great ally to Phantom and his friends, rushing to their aid when they are troubled by Team Plasmius. He can’t stand Team Plasmius’ methods and doesn’t like what he suspects might be their end goal.
Pokemon: Druddigon, Dragonite, Altaria, Bagon, Fraxure
The Gym Leader of Rosenheim Town, Dora is a Dragon type trainer, and is known for being a very fearsome battler. She took over the role after her older brother, Aragon, was kicked out of the Pokemon League for cheating, which was exposed by Dora herself. She has lived underneath the thumb of her older brother for quite some time, so when she finally broke away from him, she decided that she would never let anyone else order her around ever again. She has become quite the self-assured and independent woman, and unlike her brother, has become very well loved by the people of Rosenheim Town. Dora tends to be rather upbeat and positive, and likes to look on the bright side of life. She has a very motherly nature to her and can often be found at the town’s daycare lending them a helping hand when she’s not busy with her duties as a Gym Leader. All of her Pokemon are her children, and she has raised them with great care and affection, and wouldn’t give them up for the world. When Phantom arrives to challenge her gym, she’s a little taken aback by his nature, but she quickly grows to like him and his companions and thinks they have a wonderful friendship. Dora allies herself against Team Plasmius, knowing that her hated older brother has joined them, and that nothing he could be involved with could ever lead to good things.
Pokemon: Watchog, Persian, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Slaking, Bouffalant
The Gym Leader of Drumberg City, Walker is a man who is very strict on rules, and as the town’s mayor, he’s in a place to enforce them. He’s often considered to be power hungry, irrational, and temperamental, and is constantly making up new rules and laws which the people of Drumberg and anyone coming into the town must follow. He’s very harsh and unforgiving, and there have been many people thrown into jail because of rather minor offenses that they didn’t even know were against the law. He doesn’t believe that there’s any merit to really listening to troublemakers, and is very set in his ways, refusing to change them for anything. When Phantom comes to town, he takes an instant disliking to the boy and his friends, knowing ‘troublemakers’ when he sees them, and they quickly wind up on his bad side. As a member of Team Plasmius, he has been promised the power to extend his rule much further, creating a perfect utopia where everything is run by him, and everyone lives in fear of him, as they should, he thinks. He doesn’t like free will and people who go against hm, so assured he is of his opinions and views being absolutely correct. He’s a very harsh taskmaster even to his Pokemon, and will also deal with them harshly should they fail to perform as they should. Walker is the reason almost no one has passed his gym for a long time.
Pokemon: Eelektross, Raichu, Electrode, Luxray, Magnezone, Electivire
The final Gym Leader, Technus runs the Pokemon gym in Tambum City, and is known for being very loud and for his rather outdated speech patterns. He tries to be ‘in it’ with the kids these days, but the only thing he ever manages to do is show how terribly dated he really is. That changes when it comes to technology however, as he’s constantly on the cutting edge of that, and these skills become very useful to Team Plasmius. However, the fact that he can’t keep his mouth shut is a constant hindrance to them, so he’s been left out of the loop of a lot of things, and is constantly being watched over by those who seek to preserve the group’s secrecy. Technus himself seems to be rather unaware of this fact, or of the fact that there are many things about Team Plasmius that he doesn’t know and thinks that he’s been told everything there is to know about the group that he works for now. He’s rather amicable to Phantom and his friends, even though he knows that Plasmius wants him to capture the half ghost boy and to get rid of his friends through whatever means necessary. He just doesn’t see the need to be rude about it, surely one can eliminate a threat to the group while being polite and observing proper decorum. When he finds out that he’s been left out of the loop of a lot of things in the group, he balks a little at his duties- but is then forced to carry them out anyways.
Pokemon: Skuntank, Sableye, Krookodile, Chandlelure, Typhlosion, Houndoom
Devious, sadistic and cruel, barely any of that shines through to Penelope’s surface. On the surface, she’s cheerful, peppy, and a bundle of positive energy, who just wants to help other people be the best them that they can be. Underneath that however, she’s a woman who will do anything to get what she wants, and crush anyone who gets in her way. She doesn’t take no for an answer, and when there’s something she can’t have, she’ll take it by manipulation and by force. A woman who knows what she wants and how she’s going to get it, Penelope has always been very ambitious, ever since she was a little girl. That’s why Plasmius was drawn to her, and why she became one of the first members of Team Plasmius. She wormed her way into the Elite Four using cunning and trickery, tactics which she also uses in battle. Penelope seeks only one thing from Team Plasmius’ activities- and that is eternal youth, which she has been lead to believe she can gain by bonding with a Pokemon, and intends to bond with one of the prettier and more beautiful ones, one suiting for herself. She’s also very vain, and very concerned about her appearance as well as the fact that she is rapidly entering into her thirties. She’s more than happy do do anything, no matter how cut throat or low to accomplish this goal.
Consus “Undergrowth” Rush
Pokemon: Tropius, Victreebel, Parasect, Vileplume, Cacturne, Meganium
Consus is a powerful Grass type Pokemon trainer, due to the fact that he has seemed to be able to understand them ever since the day he was born. He was always regarded to be rather creepy due to this and was isolated as a child. His only friends were the grass type Pokemon of his area, which he never seemed to mind, favoring them over humans. Even his parents never seemed to understand him, and that he did seem to mind a little. At some point in his early teens he got it in his head that he would be better off leaving his parents and living with his grass Pokemon friends in the wild, and thus carried out his plans, vanishing from the face of the earth. That is, until Plasmius later found him and invited him to become a member of Team Plasmius, promising him that he could bring him even closer together to the grass Pokemon that he loved so much. He was so eager to accomplish this in fact, that he volunteered to be the early test subject for one of Plasmius’ experiments, one that failed in the end. As a result, Consus gained thorny vines that grow from his back, but rather than hating Plasmius for this, he thinks that he has brought him closer to his dream of becoming one with what he loves the most- nature itself. He’ll do anything to see that he’s finished, and if that means eliminating some pesky brats, then he’s okay with this.
Pokemon: Espeon, Xatu, Bronzong, Darmanitan, Volcarona, Simisear
Plasmius’ right hand man, and one of the early members of Team Plasmius, Franklin is a seemingly noble young man who is skilled with the sword, just as skilled as he is with his Pokemon. Serious and often described as being very stiff, he doesn’t appear to one who talks very much, but he does listen. He will faithfully carry out any duty given to him by Plasmius, having sworn a life debt to him many years ago, and it seems that he also agrees with the man’s goals as well. Franklin is a man who very deeply understands fear, and knows how to find out people’s fears and use them against them. In order to bring Phantom down once and for all, he intends to use his fears and insecurities against him- of which he knows the half ghost has many. He’s a little miffed when Skulker joins the group rather late and yet still ends up becoming one of Plasmius’ most trusted allies, and doesn’t feel that the fool is worthy of his master. He’s also the one tasked with keeping Valerie out of the loop, simply making sure that she only needs to hear and see what Plasmius wants her to hear and see. After all, she’s going to become a very valuable test subject in the future, so they can’t exactly risk losing her because she runs away and tells everyone what’s going on behind the scenes.
Pokemon: Blaziken, Primeape, Gallade, Hariyama, Scrafty, Mienshao
Valerie is the final member of the Elite Four, and is a girl who is known for being just as tough as her Pokemon. As a ninth degree black belt, she trains right alongside her fighting type Pokemon, in order to make them the strongest around. She can be a little rash and prone to anger issues at times, as well as jumping to conclusions, but she’s also very focused on her goals and what she wants to do with her life. She used to be a very rich girl, before her entire fortune was lost, thanks to some rather mean spirited mischief from a Haunter. Ever since then she’s had a grudge against ghost Pokemon, and dislikes any trainer that comes past her that uses them and is more than happy to use her Gallade to make them suffer. Valerie was recruited personally by Vlad to be a member of the Elite Four, something which she views as a very great honor, and is unaware that she is being manipulated into being Vlad’s bodyguard. She doesn’t know anything about Team Plasmius or Vlad’s true nature or goals, nor about the fact that he desires to eventually use her as a test subject for when he hammers out a process to properly merge people with Pokemon, so that he knows it’s safe before he uses it on himself. She ends up meeting Phantom long before he comes to the Elite Four, and he ends up leaving a terrible impression on her. She feels as if he’s cast aside his humanity in order to become what he is now, and she can’t stand that.
Pokemon: Nidoking, Dusclops, Cofagrigus, Drapion, Zoroark, Claydoll
The Champion of the Amity region, Vlad Masters is a rather elusive figure who almost never leaves the Champion’s room. Not much is known about him and he has become something of an enigma. Since not many pass through the Elite Four to face him, most don’t even know what the man looks like. Vlad likes it that way, and thinks that this serves to make him all the more fearsome. He used to be good friends with Jack and Maddie Fenton, before the former ended up giving him horrible facial scars in a tragic accident in college, and he’s never forgiven him for it, thinking that Maddie rejected him because of his scars. Vlad has since become determined to win her back by any means necessary. Eventually, he becomes consumed by greed, and what started as looking for a way to remove his scars turned into him looking for a way to obtain great power. Hearing ancient legends of times past when people were able to forge bonds with Pokemon through Pacts, a process now lost to history, and gain their powers, becoming something greater than a human being, he decided to find a way to do it himself. Although he doesn’t just want to merge with any old Pokemon, rather, he wants to merge with one of the powerful legendary Pokemon and will do anything to accomplish his goal. When he hears word of a sixteen year old boy named Phantom who seems to have accomplished what he seeks, he decides that he needs him for himself. Vlad can temporarily merge with Pokemon, but doing it for too long causes both of them to break down, so he only does it as needed.
Title: Former Gym Leader
Pokemon: Toxicroak, Kingdra, Garchomp, Haxorus, Muk
The disgraced Gym Leader of Rosenheim City and the older brother of Dora, Aragon is a ruthless and cruel person who shows no mercy to those he feels are beneath him- which is pretty much everyone, to be honest. Although he used to be a dragon type trainer like his sister, he has since expanded his team a little, adding some poison Pokemon to the mix. Aragon joined Team Plasmius after he was chased out of his position, forced to leave town for fear of being arrested for his wrongdoing- although Aragon feels as if he has done nothing wrong. There is no way anyone would ever be able to beat him, not if they were honest, and is convinced he was simply preventing other people from cheating him with his methods. A man who refuses to admit he has faults, of which does actually have any great number of, Aragon hates his sister who ratted him out and ‘lied’ about him the most and would like to see her fall. So when she comes to clash against Team Plasmius, he’s rather thrilled with this turn of events, because this now means that he has a chance to put her in her place- and maybe that annoying Sam girl who he remembers winning against him in spite of his methods anyways, several years back.
Madeline “Maddie” Fenton
Title: Ghost Pokemon Researcher
Pokemon: Froslass (deceased), Haunter, Shedninja
The mother of Danny and Jazz, and the wife of Jack, Maddie is a world renowned ghost Pokemon researcher, and is famous for making several astonishing discoveries about them alongside her husband in the past. She loves her children dearly and has always encouraged their dreams, and she only wishes that she could do something about her son’s weak health. A very dedicated mother, she hates the thought of anyone hurting her children, and has shown time and time again that she is just as strong a trainer as she is a person. Maddie used to know the Champion of the region, and while she’s glad that he’s made something of himself, she has very sour memories of their last meeting, and hasn’t forgiven him yet for the things he said about Jack at that time.
Title: Ghost Pokemon Researcher
Pokemon: Jellicent, Drifloon, Shuppet
The father of Danny and Jazz and the husband of Maddie, Jack, although not as smart as his wife, is also a ghost Pokemon researcher. He feels that the two of them make the greatest pair, as both parents and researchers, and he might just be right about that. He also likes to tinker with various inventions on the side, although he’s never very serious about them. He seems to just like making things that he can slap the name ‘Fenton’ onto. Jack is a kind and caring father, although he can often be bumbling, and is sometimes saddened by Danny’s poor health because they can’t bond like he always hoped that they would when he got older. Still, he loves his son, and his daughter, and there will be hell to pay if you hurt them while he’s around. He’s a much more competent trainer than people give him credit for.
Title: Pokemon Nurse
Pokemon: Snubbull, Jigglypuff, Chansey
Paulina is a pretty young girl who comes from Casper Town, who grew up around Sam, Danny, and Tucker, but was never friends with them- instead she hung out with a different crowd, a much more popular crowd. She ended up going on a Pokemon journey as well, wanting to collect all of the cute Pokemon in the world, and on the way, she decided that she was going to become a Pokemon nurse. Paulina realized that she hated seeing Pokemon being hurt, and instead tries to befriend them instead of battling with them, which she seems to have better luck with than people, not seeming to realize most of her friendships with humans are mostly shallow and superficial on any number of levels. Paulina falls in love with Phantom after he saves her life, and after that point, she tries to follow him wherever he goes, sometimes popping up around the trio when they least expect her to, causing them a fair amount of annoyance.
Pokemon: Skitty, Glameow, Meowth
Johnny’s girlfriend of three odd years, Kitty is just as much of a rebel and a troublemaker as he is, although her family couldn’t be anymore different. Kitty’s parents are very well bred and rather rich, and don’t approve of her dating that scruffy bad luck boy one bit. Kitty doesn’t listen to them however, and even though Johnny’s eyes can wander from time to time and even though she gets mad at him often, she still loves him very much, and knows that he would never really betray her. She doesn’t like Jazz very much, through no fault of the Pokemon psychologist’s own, and fears that she’s the only real threat between her and Johnny. Kitty is proud of him for taking over his father’s gym, even if he didn’t really want to, and hopes that maybe her parents will start thinking of him better now that he’s a Gym Leader. What Kitty doesn’t know is that Team Plasmius has it’s eyes on her, as she, like Valerie, apparently has a high compatibility rating for the experimental merging procedure that they have been working on.
